I was shopping at Lewisham Poundland on Saturday 14 December 2024 the security guard saying that I was shopping lift but shopping bag Lidl and m and s as you stop people shopping in other shops as I not against law to walk in Poundland with other shopping bags when you have to shop anyway and you train security guard as shopping at Poundland for years now but after I won't be shopping back as Poundland every again after this as it totally wrong

First time I've encountered condescending staff at Poundland. Not all were, you had some lovely staff but the others don't make the experience great at all.

I was wrongly accused of stealing by a security guard today I 26th of October 2024 at Poundland Lewisham. All because I entered the store with a bag of items that I purchased at Sainsburys. He asked me to show him the items in my bag. It was clear that it is from Sainsbury’s as it was Sainsbury’s own brand plus a bag of Dairy Milk buttons, which he accused me of stealing! This man was rude, intimidating and humiliated me if front of other customers, which made me cry and caused me a panic attack. Please make sure to re-train your security guard. It is not a crime to enter Poundland with items bought in a different supermarket. He did not even have the courtesy to apologise for a wrong accusation of theft. I love Poundland and have been shopping there for more than a decade; however, after this incident I will never come back.

Great place to spoil yourself and get your bag filled with quality items! Pros: Most of the items for only £1 believe it or not Cons: this is the main reason why I didn't give a 5 star review is due to the quality of the toilet paper sold there. It's rough, not absorbent and it usually finishes much quicker than the brands sold at the main supermarkets. However I have to say in favour of Poundland that I find the same issue with most of the pound shops.

It's a "pound" shop so you get what you expect, reasonable range, not much that's actually a pound and some things obviously poor quality at a low price. Staff were helpful today when I was looking for something and the check out at the till/self service was quick.
