I grew up in Northwest Indiana and the only oriental store that was local had closed down years ago. We had to drive constantly to Chicago to find things that we enjoyed in our Korean family, but I noticed this store while out in the South Bend area and I was so excited! They have lots of Korean options, and they sell many things in bulk size too if you’re cooking for plenty. They also sell things that are harder to come across such as calamari, kimchi, squid, and much more. We got a lot of seaweed for a great deal and a decent sized bag of rice for only $7.00! They have lots of ramen options, bulgogi in both Beef and Pork, sushi mats, skin care, and so much more! We will definitely be going here again.

I have been shopping at Oriental Market for 10+ years, and they have always had a good selection of items at good prices. It isn’t a large store, but they carry a unique selection of snacks and sweets as well as a wide variety of drinks, instant noodles, pantry staples, grocery items, and cookware. They carry a lot of products you can’t find elsewhere in the south bend/mishawaka area. I highly recommend checking it out.

I bought a prepared foil package of fresh marinated Bulgogi to cook at home.
It was soooooooo good!!!
Enough for 3-4 people but instead it was lunch for 3 days.
A great little gem of a store.

It takes a hour to get here so we make a day trip out of it. They always have the ingredients I’m looking for and a great selection of snacks. The drive is definitely worth it if you enjoy cooking Asian meals and eating yummy foods.
